Tara M. Flanagan
Judge Tara M. Flanagan joined the Alameda County Superior Court in 2013. After two years in Family Law and four years in the Criminal Division, she now sits in Juvenile Dependency Court. Her extra-judicial duties include serving on the boards of the Alameda County Bar Association’s Wellness committee and the International Association of LGBTQ Judges. Previously, Judge Flanagan was a Los Angeles County prosecutor, a legal aid attorney and a sought-out speaker about LGBTQ domestic violence. She has worked on the boards of many D.V., LGBTQ, and women lawyer’s organizations. A retired international athlete, Judge Flanagan enjoys long distance cycling.
