Family law professionals who work with challenging individuals and families can experience emotional, physical, and mental fatigue. Attempting to navigate and meet the needs of emotionally charged clients often leave professionals feeling overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted. This presentation will examine the stages of professional burnout, its causes and what to do to prevent it.
- Participants will be able to recognize the signs/symptoms of burnout or emotional dehydration.
- Participants will be able to demonstrate knowledge of how one’s own adverse childhood experiences can affect one’s attitudes, values, and beliefs in the decision-making process.
- Participants will be able to identify creative approaches to manage emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion.
