Eugene Hyman
Honorable Eugene M. Hyman presided over Domestic Violence related cases in the Juvenile, Family, Criminal, and Probate divisions of the Superior Court for the County of Santa Clara for twenty years until his retirement. He has a special interest in Domestic Violence cases occurring in multiple divisions of the court concurrently, as well as those cases with substance abuse and mental health issues. In 1999, with the assistance of the County Probation Department, the Juvenile Domestic Violence and Family Violence Court was founded which received a United Nations Public Service Award in 2008.
Since retirement, Judge Hyman continues to present, teach, and write in the Domestic Violence subject area. He has presented in Canada, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand, besides the US. His C.V. can be found at www.JudgeHyman.com.
