Nancy A. Nugent
Nancy Nugent has been practicing law for over 40 years, the first many of which were in civil litigation. She has her own practice in San Rafael, where she handles only custody cases. Many, if not most of her cases, are difficult or complex cases, often involving high conflict between the parents. Nancy also has a background in psychology. In each case, she tries to understand what has led to the parties’ differing positions and what motivates them to continue in conflict with each other. Above all, she tries to find solutions that are right for the children. She will often tell clients, “You will be writing the checks to me, but the real client is someone I will never meet – your child.”
