Stan J. Katz

Dr. Stan Katz is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist who has conducted over 1000 evaluations in Family Law and Dependency Courts, mediated family law disputes and treated way too many high conflict families.  He has held Senior Positions at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Children’s Institute International (CII) and The Maple Community Counseling Center (TMCC).  As Director of Training and Professional Education at CII and as Director of Training and later Clinical Director at TMCC he was in charge of training and supervising hundreds of MFT and Psychology Interns and Fellows.  He has been involved in a number of high profile sex abuse cases including the McMartin Preschool case and Michael Jackson civil and criminal cases.  He was Visiting Lecturer at UCLA Graduate School of Social Welfare for ten years and taught at Antioch University for five years.  Dr. Katz is the author of three books and a recipient of a television Emmy for his work on “Starting Over”.
